TUBE AXIAL DUCT FAN
BELT DRIVE - MODEL "B"
The ultimate in positive
elimination of smoke, fumes and vapors through duct work in paint sprays
and other hazardous locations. Recommended for use in dry environments
with temperatures less than 180°F.
OUTSTANDING FEATURES:
• Fan can be installed to operate in any position.
• Propellers non-sparking cast aluminum.
• Fan housing is heavy gauge steel with angle iron rings welded on each
end for superior strength. Eight holes in angle rings for easy mounting.
• Air tight cylinder in center of drum protects belts, sheaves, and
bearings from contaminated air.
• Adjustable motor base provides for proper belt tension.
• Bearings - two sealed industrial grade ball bearings mounted in a
precision-machined, cast aluminum, one piece, completely enclosed
bearing housing for exceptional bearing life.
• Motors - only high quality industrial motors are used. Fans with motors
are completely assembled, drives properly adjusted and fan tested at
factory before shipping. Motors are available in open drip proof,
totally enclosed and explosion proof.
• Cast steel and turned steel sheaves.

IMPORTANT NOTES: Our Explosion Proof Fans are equipped with Class I, Group D, Class II, Groups F & G Explosion Proof Motors AS STANDARD. (These are motors rated for use with PAINT FUMES AND GASOLINE FUMES). Our XP fans are also equipped with Solid Cast Aluminum (Non-Sparking) Propellers AS STANDARD. Our fan housings and fan panels are constructed of MILD CARBON STEEL AS STANDARD. This is consistent with SPARK RESISTANT CONSTRUCTION. IF YOU INTEND TO USE OUR FANS WITH ANY OTHER EXPLOSIVE MATERIALS OTHER THAN DESCRIBED ABOVE, - OUR FANS MAY NOT OFFER THE REQUIRED PROTECTION AGAINST AN EXPLOSION. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BE ADVISED BY QUALIFIED EXPERTS AND AUTHORITIES ON EXACTLY WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED FOR YOUR PARTICULAR APPLICATION.
EXAMPLE: HYDROGEN GAS - WE WILL NOT KNOWINGLY QUOTE A FAN FOR USE WITH HYDROGEN GAS.
WARNING: The use of aluminum or aluminum alloys (Propellers), in the presence of steel (Fan Housings & Panels, etc.) WHICH HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO RUST, requires special consideration. Research by the US Bureau of Mines and others has shown that aluminum propellers (or impellers) rubbing on RUSTY STEEL may cause intensity sparking! (The use of this Standard in no way implies a guarantee of safety for any level of spark resistance. Spark resistant construction also does not protect against ignition of explosive gases caused by CATASTROPHIC FAILURE or from any airstream material that may be present in a system.
