Paint Booth Wall Exhaust Fans
Paint Booth Wall Exhaust Fans can turn an empty room into a fully functional Paint Booth. A simple, self-contained, filtered, wall exhaust Paint Booth Fan can provide a far less expensive alternative to purchasing a prefabricated paint booth, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars. Many manufacturers, woodworkers, metal workers, Auto Body Shops, Truck Painting Operations, hobbyists, etc., are learning that they can convert a small (or large) room into a very effective Paint Booth by using one (to several) small Wall Exhaust Paint Booth Fans; (the number of fans determined by the size of the room). Paint Booth Wall Exhaust Fans. Convert a room to a Paint Booth. Completely Self Contained. HEAVY DUTY INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION.
The most popular Paint Booth Fan on the market today is manufactured by Carl J. Bush Company – USA. Their model CAF-920-1X is a completely self-contained, Wall Exhaust Paint Booth Fan, that is completely explosion proof, and only uses (1) 24” X 24” X 2”, High Capacity, Pleated, Merv-8 Rated Paint Booth Filter. This can be a huge savings on the cost of replacement filters. Filters can be purchased for about $9.50 each when purchased in bulk (at Grainger, for example). In contrast, prefabricated paint booths can use multiple filters – costing hundreds of dollars every time you have to do a filter change-out.
We sell HUNDREDS of the model CAF-920-1X fan for Paint and Spray Booth applications. Many of our customers also use these fans when painting cars and trucks. (Multiple units may be required, depending upon the size of the space and the volume of painting).
Small Paint Booth Wall Exhaust Fans only use one filter
Wall Exhaust Paint Booth Fans placed in an exterior wall, exhausting to the outdoor. Requires rough-in wall opening size of 25” X 25”. (Considered a small opening). Filter Box on the interior wall side. Installed in an 8” Block Wall, the Block Wall usually is sufficient to support the fan. Thin-wall installation uses “Shelf” support on exterior wall from underneath. The fan is usually positioned in the wall so that the majority of the fan assembly protrudes outside of the building, with the filter box flush with the interior wall. In this way there is very little of the fan protruding into the Paint Booth space.
Paint Booth Wall Exhaust Fans are completely weather proof
Weather poof fans have Aluminum Automatic Gravity Shutters. Mounted on the discharge side of the fan, they open when the fan is on, and closes weather tight when the fan is off.
The most impressive aspect of these 20” Fans are their performance power. They use a 1-Horsepower, Class I, Group D, Class II, Groups F & G Explosion Proof Motor, and a High Quality, Die Cast Aluminum, Non-Sparking, Adjustable Pitch Type 5-Bladed Propeller, that is equipped with a Taper-Lock Bushing. This combination of motor and propeller affords the Model CAF-920-1X Fan a capacity of 6200 CFM with a Clean Filter, and operates to higher levels of static pressure (which means the fan is so powerful that it will pull air through the paint filter for longer periods of time before needing a filter replacement). Again, this is a BIG SAVINGS on replacement filters, because you don’t have to change them as often.
Filtered Paint Booth Fans used for Filtered Supply-Air
Painting processes require filtered intake air. The Model CAF-920-1X fan is available for supply. The Exhaust and Supply Air Fans look exactly the same, and are the same size and capacity. The only difference is that the air moves in different directions. Filtered Outdoor Supply Air must use an Inlet Weather Hood. Hood prevents entry of rain, snow and birds. Hood has Bird Screen. Manufactured of Galvanized Steel.
Paint Booths that are 20’ X 20’ X 10’ would only need (1) of these small fans to get better than a 1-minute air-change. (Air change is the amount of time it takes to exhaust the entire volume of the Paint Booth, and replace it with fresh outside air).
These fans are also available in Single Phase Explosion Proof, and Three-Phase Explosion Proof. Single Phase is household current, 115 or 230 Volts. Three Phase (230 or 460 Volts).
MADE IN THE USA.
